CURRICULUM VITAE
Attila Bozay was born at Balatonfuzfo in 1939. He studied composition with Ferenc Farkasatthe Budapest Academy of Music, graduating in 1962.
Between 1963 and 1966, he was music producer in Hungarian Radio. In 1967, he visited Paris on a UNESCO scholarship and has since been living as a free-lance composer. In recent years, he has also taught composition and orchestration at the Budapest Academy of Music.
Attila Bozay was awarded the Erkel Prize by the Hungarian government in 1968 and 1979. In 1984, he was decorated with the title Merited Artist of the Hungarian People's Republic. His compositions have been performed at international music festivals since 1967; since 1973, he has also appeared as a soloist, playing his own works for zither and recorder.
