INTRODUCTION
The ninth issue of the Central European Political Science Review analyses the Future of Europe - Central European Perspectives, the challenges of times we live in, and the potential answers regarding politics, party-development, economical and social integration and social sciences. When choosing this title, the above mentioned issues as closely related, for the changes that occur are the consequences of their inter-relatedness.
This issue of CEPSR contains both theoretical and empirical articles as well as international comparative and case studies. Aiming at giving a complex picture, we selected studies from several different countries, from Central-Europe to North and Latin America.
Some of the edited papers had been presented at Ten Years in Freedom conference (like Giovanni Sartori's and Philippe 0. Schmitter's papers) held in 2000 at Budapest or at the annual meeting of Central European Political Science Association, held in 2002 in PIzen.
The editors of CEPSR welcome articles, conference reports and book reviews for publication, which focus on relation between Visegrád countries and Central Europe
