Disadvantaged Youth Project [antikvár]

Between 1994 and 1997, under the supervision of the Ministry of Labour and with the financial backing of Phare, a programme was realised whose aim was to increase the efficiency of the vocational training of socially disadvantaged students. The schemes of various institutes were incorporated intő the overall programme on the hasis of an application and subsequent acceptance (or rejection). When deciding which schemes could be accepted in the programme a complex set of factors was taken intő consideration. These included the profilé and geographical location of the applying institute, the degree of the social disadvantage, and the applied educational and training methods; of course, the differences between the applying institutes were alsó taken intő consideration. However, the basic criterion was the quality of the scheme that was offered and the degree of likelihood that the programme could actually be implemented. In this way a group of institutes was selected fór participation in the project. In the case of one institute two programmes received support while the other institutes received support fór one programme.
