about the book .
Disorders of Cardiac Function brings together an original association of papers on the electrical and mechanical function of the heart. These contributions, from the international experts in the field, highlight the pathological and electrophysiologic features of the heart which are most applicable to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac diseases.
The first five chapters cover electrophysiology, including the disorders of A-V conduction and new concepts for diagnosis and treatment of tachyarrhythmias in the Wolff-Parkinson-White-Syndrome. The last five chapters focus on hemodynamics, including ventricular function in coronary heart disease in the pressure and volume overloaded heart, in myocardial disease, and myocardial function during exercise.
Disorders of Cardiac Function provides cardiologists, rehabilitation therapists, exercise physiologists, and internists with the timely, up-to-date information they need to advance their research and cHnical practice.
