FOREWORD The given grammar manual "English Grammar Exercises" (Tenses in the Active Voice) is designed for first and second year students of English at Foreign Language Institutes, Pedagogical Institutes and Universities. In the learning of any foreign language the verb undoubtedly presents a major problem: it is difficult to remember when the verb behaviour in the foreign language differs from the verb behaviour in one's native language. The book includes exercises key to exercises for students to check up their own work and grammar notes on the usage of verb-forms in English.
