Pnface I must make it clear at the outset that the information contained in the following pages does not pretend to be in any sense exhaustive. Books on a grand scale generally are not well adapted to the needs of the youngest generation of judoka (judo fans) for whom this book is particularly designed. If and when my young readers have reached such a stage of proficiency, under skilled guidance, that they are able to execute all the methods I have here tried to describe, they will have laid a firm foundation for further progress in the art of judo.
