This Book The 1st edition of this guide was written by Geoff Crowther and Tony and Maureen Wheeler. Mark Lightbody handled the research for the 2nd edition. The 3rd edition was the joint effort of Sue Tan and Joe Cummings. Hugh Finlay and Peter Turner updated the 4th and 5th editions. The 6th edition was researched and written by Peter Turner and Chris Rowthorn. Chris Rowthorn, David Andrew, Paul Hellander and Clem Lindenmayer teamed up on the 7th edition. This 8th edition was coordinated by Chris Rowthorn, who updated the introductory Malaysia chapters and East Peninsular Malaysia chapters. Sara 'Sam' Benson updated the West Peninsular Malaysia chapters, Russ Kerr covered Malaysian Borneo and Brunei, and Christine Niven updated the Singapore chapters. From the Publisher This 8th edition of Malaysia, Singapore Brunei was produced in Lonely Planet's Melbourne office. Barb Benson took charge of the design and mapping and Jane Thompson coordinated the editing. Barb was assisted by Kusnandar, Jack Gavran, Chris Love and Chris Thomas. Jane had help from Joanne Newell, Kristin Odijk, Sally O'Brien, Rachael Antony, Hilary Ericksen, Anne Mulvaney and Bruce Evans. Kusnandar whipped up the climate charts, Matt King organised the illustrations, and Glenn Beanland and Brett Pascoe were the friendly photogenic faces of Lonely Planet Images. Kathleen Brand lent a hand with the colour wraps, Pablo Gastar created the niftiest chapter-end we could have hoped for, and Daniel New worked his magic with the cover. Quentin Frayne wrote the language chapter. Kristin Odijk, Chris Love, Jocelyn Harewood and Jane Hart cast eagle eyes over the layout, and Tim Uden and Lisa Borg made good use of their Quark XPress-pertise.
