The Incandescent Core of the Dialectics of the Real
Any escape from the narrow perimeter, from the grey labyrinth of dogmatism coincides inevitably with a reapproach of dialectics, since any abandonment of convenient pseudo-certainties, apt solely to make references about themselves, is tantamount to a deblocking of thought, with a legitimation of contradiction and of negation which pave the way to the transcendence, on a superior plane, of sterile contemplation. Nothing is more damaging to, more far removed from the calling and mission of the revolutionary theory than an evasion from the real. In its dyndmic and contradictory complexity, with its multiple facets and its multiple transformations, reality imposes upon the dialectics of reason, its own dialectics. Whenever we declare in favour of the necessity to understand the objective laws, laying at the foundations of the processes and phenomena, which take place in nature and society, we are supposed to resort to the capacity to discern those trends, those manifestations, which pertain to their essence and profound structure, those contradictions whose tension leads to the very combustion of social evolution and development. Because the ignorance or minimization of the presence and (antagonistic or non-antagonistic) nature of contradictions constitute a serious and irreparable error, in the field of revolutionary theory nad practice.
The world, we live in, is a world of the most diverse contradictions and connections. The history of mankind is not and cannot be a linear or cyclic succesion of events but a concatenation of causes and effects, of retroactions, of breams, which are consumed, withi'n the limits of some social systems.
To capture the winding movement of the real, in its entire depth and complexity, necessarily presumes one's taking the stands of dialectical and historical materialistn. However this is, by no means, the revendication of the priviledged posture of an impassive observer, of a spectator refractory to any commitment, to any attitude, related to what happens in his vicinity. The cognition and comprehension of the dialectics of the real is not an aim for its own sake, a gratuitous game of the spirit. Cognition and comprehension must envisage a practical fmality, the solution of some real problems, finding an answer, apt to make a contribution to meeting the imperative demands of social development. The men of science, those toiling in the field of literature and the arts, connot dodge the imperative of turning the act of cognition, the act of cultural creation into an act of assuming reality. The reflection of the real, in the poly-chromy and multitude of its forms, with its entire phenomenal charge, the penetration and capture of its essence, only become possible to the extent to which the scholar, the creators of the beautiful do not overlook the necessity of commitment, contact with life. The deep meaning of their work and ouvre shapes up and gains consistence only when the cognition effort and the endeavour to give artistic expression to existence, in their turn, reflect on the reality they communicate with.
