Bővebb ismertető
It all happened last June, but it's only now that I can finally talk about it.
I'm a normal kid. I have to tell you that right away. I'm ten, my name is Dawn, I've got black hair, and I'm tall for my age. I like to play Softball and I like boys when they're clean. My friend Diondrea was with me, and she's even more normal than I am. She has brown hair and likes boys even when they haven't washed in a month. What I'm saying is that you can trust Diondrea and me. So listen to this. . . .
It was my birthday, and I was feeling bad because my father forgot about it. He lives twenty miles away from Mom and me and forgets a lot of things. Anyway, I got a sleeping bag like Diondrea's for my birthday, and it was a really nice night, so Diondrea and I slept out in my backyard. About 400 trillion stars were shining, and it was warm outside—a really nice night.
Now, listen, because this is the part you won't believe. I was lying in my new sleeping bag, when I heard a sound—a cricket-like sound next to my ear. I turned my head, and there it was—a tiny, metal, human-shaped creature about as tall as a paper clip. I thought I was having some kind of nightmare, so I did what I do when I'm having a bad dream: I tried to open my eyes—only they were open already. So I just lay there and waited for developments.
